Liz Stewart
Liz Stewart is originally from Miami and grew up in the Tampa Bay area. She attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, and completed her bachelor's degree in Music at the University of Tampa with a concentration in Vocal Performance.
While in Hawaii, Stewart was an apprentice with the Hawaii Opera Theatre. When she returned to Tampa, she won the NATS college level competition, received the Antonini Award for Outstanding Performance Major and the David Delo Musicianship Award upon her graduation from the University of Tampa.
Stewart began teaching private voice lessons in 1989, and operated her own voice studio for 18 years. She has worked with more than 300 vocalists and has been the Music Director in several Tampa Bay area productions. In 2005, she was hired as the Choral Director at Riverview High School where she has directed superior-rated choirs and ensembles. In 2008, she assumed the position of the Orchestra Director at Riverview High School in addition to her position as the Choral Director.
