Emilia Sargent, Acting Instructor
Emilia Sargent is a professional actress, singer and director, who has appeared on several Tampa Bay stages, including the Straz Center’s Jaeb, Ferguson and Shimberg theaters. A member of Actors Equity Association and a Best of the Bay Critic's Choice Actress, Sargent has played the lead roles in a variety of musicals including The Song of Songs, My Fair Lady, Cabaret, Damn Yankees, The Music Man, and Oklahoma!. Other credits include Orson's Shadow, Metamorphoses, A Christmas Story, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, Nunsense, and Godspell. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, Sargent has appeared in several industrial films, commercials and television shows. Sargent founded the SALT Summer Drama Camp for youth, and has volunteered her time for years teaching and directing children’s performances in drama ministry.
