PCYO Audition Information
Auditions for membership are held each spring. If a section is not full, auditions may be held at other times, as determined by the music director. While students are expected to prepare a number of requirements, the audition committee may choose to hear only a small portion of those requirements. We ask all applicants and parents understand that a student is judged on the basis of performance at the audition, which is a very brief period in a student’s musical career. Decisions regarding membership and seating rest solely with the music director. Audition requirements include:
Auditions for seating The conductors will determine the audition process for seats. Members will be given audition requirements and dates. Seating auditions will take place on one date each semester. There will be no make-up dates if a student misses a seating audition and the conductor will assign the student a seat. Tuition Each student must pay a audition/registration fee of $30. Annual tuition is due by Sept. 7. If a payment plan is needed, please notify the Administrative Director to work out a payment schedule. Any first payment received after Sept. 7, should include a late fee of $25. In the event that a student withdraws during the year, tuition is non-refundable. Scholarships Need-based scholarships will be awarded in the fall. Applications are available on this website.
