A placement audition is required for entrance into the summer YTC program in order to determine readiness for and appropriate leveling within the program. Specific roles are determined by audition after the start of the program.
Students are asked to memorize a one-minute monologue or poem, and to prepare 16 bars of a song (45-60 seconds), for which they need to provide sheet music or a CD accompaniment. A dance audition will be led by the choreographer, so students will need to wear shoes and clothes appropriate for movement. Call 813.222.1002 to schedule an audition.

Summer Ballet Junior Intensive 9 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. 
No audition is required, but all students must take a placement class in ballet to determine their level of proficiency before registration. Ballet Master Classes are available on June 27 or July 11 for placement. Contact OBS at Patel Conservatory at 813.222.1002 to receive more information on class times, and to schedule a placement appointment. Students are divided into groups during the intensive based on their ballet placement. Current students of OBS at the Patel Conservatory who meet the grade requirements and who have completed Primary, Preparatory, or Levels 1, 2A, or 2B are encouraged to attend and do not have to be placed.
