Master Classes and Workshops

Throughout the year, the Conservatory and the Straz Center offer a variety of free master classes, workshops and instructional classes.  These classes and workshops are taught by local and national performing artists.  The master classes offer advanced students the opportunity to learn from experts in a small group setting. Workshops and instructional classes are often offered free to the public and for some, no experience is required.

Past master classes and workshops include David Friedman (Vocal Performance), Ballet Hispanico, Steve Forbert (Songwriting), Nrityagram Dance Ensemble (Indian Classical Dance), Trent Armand Kendall (Creating Original Musical Theater), Kyle White (Intro to Tap) and Daniel Ulbricht, Principal Dancer NYCB (Ballet).

Vocal Master Classes give the audience an opportunity to watch singers perform and be critiqued in an educational setting. They provide a unique chance to learn more about singing techniques and how internationally-acclaimed teachers train a future generation of opera singers.
