Through its programming and educational programs, the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center shares the performing arts and offers unique and diverse opportunities throughout the Tampa Bay community. We provide performing arts experiences, educational outreaches and enrichment through a variety of programs for educators, families, community partners, and adults.
Access Arts/Financial Aid
The Patel Conservatory believes that its arts education programs should be available to everyone. That’s why we offer financial assistance to help deserving students and families participate in our high-quality, unique arts education experience.

Broadway Family Night & Free Events
The Straz Center will continue the tradition of hosting Broadway Family Nights during the 2010-2011 season. These family nights often include pre-show family-friendly activities, discounted tickets and post-show performer talk-backs.

Community Partners

Educator Discount Program
Teachers and staff from all Tampa Bay area counties are eligible to receive up to a 60% discount toward the purchase of two tickets for preselected shows at the Straz Center.

Field Trips, Tours and Study Guides
The foundation of the Straz Center’s educational programming is the Field Trip series. Each year students from public, private and home schools come to the Straz Center during the school day to enjoy high quality, age-appropriate productions.

The Straz Center’s Lecture and Talk-Back Series features free pre-performance lectures and post-performance talk-backs that provide an educational behind-the-scenes look at artists and art forms for selected performances.
