Ballet Program (PCYB)
Winner "Outstanding School" 2011 New York Finals Youth America Grand Prix
The Patel Conservatory Youth Ballet, Official School of Next Generation Ballet (NGB)
The program starts in the Young Children’s Division where children are placed by age (age 3-grade 2) and progresses to the Pre-Professional Division where students are placed by ability (grades 2-12). Each division has a sequence of levels carefully designed to meet the developmental and technical needs of students as they train to be serious ballet dancers. The technique taught imparts an American speed and lightness in the lower limbs while maintaining a classical port de bras in preparation for today’s dance marketplace. PCYB accepts students of all levels. No prior training is required; however, all students must first take a placement class to determine their level of proficiency.
