John Maio, Flute Instructor
John Maio received his Bachelor of Arts in from Western Michigan University in 1988 with a major in Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Flute Performance. His teachers include Charles Osborne and Clement Barone of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Maio has been teaching flute and coaching young ensembles for over 25 years. In addition to various solo work, he currently coaches and plays with the Winds of Praise Flute Choir and Church Orchestra. Mr. Maio is also an accomplished performer of Penny Whistle, Highland Bagpipes, and Irish Uilleann Pipes.
