Lowell Adams, Cello Instructor
Lowell Adams is the Assistant Principal Cellist of The Florida Orchestra, and the Principal Cellist of the Lake George Opera Festival in New York. As a music educator in the Tampa Bay area since 1981, he is actively involved with the youth orchestras, public schools and the Florida Orchestra Music Education Programs. He is a founding member of the Florida Cello Club. He has been Instructor of Cello at the University of South Florida, Florida Southern College, and he was Visiting Professor of Cello and an Artist-in-Residence member of the Esterhazy Quartet at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is Instructor of Cello and Chamber Music at the University of Tampa. He holds a B.M. and M.M. in Cello Performance and Pedagogy from Northern Illinois University, and an Artist’s Diploma from the Hartt School of Music.
