Eric Nordstrom, Violin Instructor
Eric Nordstrom has been a violinist and teacher in the Tampa Bay area since 1999. He has performed as a regular substitute with The Florida Orchestra, with the Encore Chamber Music Series, the Bellesonne String Quartet, The Chamber Orchestra of Florida, Florida Pro Musica and the Opera Tampa Orchestra. Equally at home in the popular music arena, Nordstrom has appeared as a backup musician with the pop groups Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Moody Blues, Dave Brubeck, Rod Stewart, Mannheim Steamroller, The Irish Tenors, Josh Groban and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. He attended Interlochen Arts Academy and Mainz Konservatorium, and is a graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory where he received degrees in Violin Performance and Biology. Eric's principal violin teachers include Marilyn McDonald, Sophia Herman, Julia Bushkova and Arthur Wendt. Eric teaches violin at the Patel Conservatory.
