Bill Chamberlin, Piano Instructor
Bill Chamberlin has more than 40 years of classroom and private lesson teaching experience. Specializing in piano instruction, he also teaches woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments, as well as music composition, theory and improvisation (classical, jazz, pop and sacred styles).
Chamberlin has earned B.A. and M.S. degrees in Music Composition from The Juilliard School studying with Vincent Persichetti, Luciano Berio and Elliott Carter and studied piano performance privately in New York with Jeaneane Dowis, Joseph Prostakoff and Edith Oppens.
Past experience includes USMA Band in West Point, NY; conducting the Capitol Chamber Artists at the Juilliard School; President of the founding Board of Directors: Mohawk Valley Symphony (NY); Director of Instrumental/Choral Music at Lakeland Christian School; Assistant Professor or Music Theory and Director of Spurgeon Singers at Spurgeon College and Adjust Professor of Piano at Clearwater College.
Currently teaching at several central Florida venues, Chamberlin is thrilled to be part of the Patel Conservatory mentoring and teaching young talent.
