Ami Sallee, Theater Department Chair/Acting Instructor
Ami Sallee has had a continual presence since the planning stages of the Patel Conservatory, Sallee has worked in every facet of the education department. She has been on faculty since the inaugural year and was on the operational teams who redefined the Patel security procedures, opened the Patel Chairmens Library, transformed the CAE program into the Access Arts Scholarship program and developed the Patel Conservatory Youth Theater program. An active member of the arts community in Tampa, she can be seen on stages or in the director's chair around the bay area. She is currently Resident Artist for The Gorilla Theatre, Adjunct faculty at The University of Tampa and Managing Director for All Out Rep. Formerly, Sallee was Managing Director for Jobsite Theater, arts activist for the Artist and Writers' Group and faculty for ED-PAC, American Stage and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Sallee is a 4-time Creative Loafing "Best of the Bay" winner for best actress, best director and best play.
